Job description

We are seeking an experienced Application Development Programmer to support and enhance mission-critical Mainframe applications for the Metro-North Railroad Crew Management System (CMS). This role involves maintaining, supporting, and enhancing legacy mainframe applications, monitoring and optimizing batch jobs, interfaces, and workflows, loading and validating crew schedules, diagnosing and resolving production issues, managing integrations with Kronos and PeopleSoft, developing reports for FRA, payroll, and business stakeholders, supporting data lake integrations, and leading data migration activities to a modern platform. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of application development experience supporting Mainframe/Legacy Enterprise Systems, with 6+ years of hands-on COBOL development and JCL development. This is a 12+ month contract position requiring USC or Green Card.
