• Role & Company / Project Overview We are hiring an experienced API Gateway / Platform Engineer with strong expertise in platform engineering, Java/Spring Boot, API management, AWS, and Kubernetes. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Build and deploy robust RESTful APIs & Microservices across enterprise infrastructure - Implement and configure API Gateway platforms and authentication mechanisms - Maintain container orchestration and cloud environments using Kubernetes and AWS services - Manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and establish continuous integration and delivery pipelines - Enforce API security best practices and collaborate seamlessly across cross-functional engineering teams • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 8–10 years of experience in Platform Engineering / Backend Development - Strong hands-on experience with Java & Spring Boot - Experience building and deploying RESTful APIs & Microservices - Practical experience with OAuth2 / OIDC - Hands-on experience with API Gateway platforms such as AWS API Gateway, Kong, Apigee, or similar - Strong experience with Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS - Solid knowledge of AWS – EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch - Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code - Strong understanding of CI/CD – GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar - Experience with Docker & Kubernetes - Strong understanding of API security best practices - Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills - Nice to Have: Experience with Akamai GTM • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Wilmington, DE - Full-time platform engineering requirements • Application Instructions Interested candidates can share their updated resume or connect directly via the provided recruiter contact.
