• Role & Company / Project Overview: We are actively recruiting a Senior DataOps Product Support Engineer with deep expertise in GCP Data Platforms (BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataproc) and Production Pipeline Support for an onsite contract role in San Antonio, TX. The role involves managing and stabilizing high-availability data infrastructure. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: - GCP Data Platform Support: Provide production data support, ensuring operational stability and high availability across BigQuery, Cloud Composer (Airflow), Dataproc, GCS, and Pub/Sub. - Pipeline Troubleshooting & SQL: Diagnose failed DAGs, delayed data loads, schema mismatches, and data freshness issues; write complex SQL queries to validate data integrity. - Incident Management & RCA: Perform triage, impact assessment, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and stakeholder communication for critical platform outages and job failures. - GCP IAM & Access Governance: Provision and audit GCP IAM roles, service account keys, BigQuery dataset permissions, and directory group access following security protocols. - DevOps & IaC Automation: Deploy pipeline fixes and environment promotions using GitLab CI/CD and execute infrastructure updates via Terraform. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: - 10+ years of overall experience in production data support and platform stability. - Deep hands-on expertise with BigQuery, Cloud Composer (Airflow), Dataproc, GCS, and Pub/Sub. - Strong SQL skills and proficiency in pipeline troubleshooting and root cause analysis. - Proficiency in Terraform and GitLab CI/CD for deployments. - Nice-to-Have Qualifications: Python scripting for operational automation and custom monitoring tooling; integration experience with Databricks, Tableau, Kafka / Confluent Cloud, or event-driven architectures; Google Cloud Certifications (Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Data Engineer). • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: - Location: San Antonio, Texas. - Work Mode: Onsite. - Duration: 6+ Months (Contract). - Tax Terms: C2C Only. • Compensation & Benefits: - Contractual C2C rate commensurate with experience. • Application Instructions: Qualified candidates available for an onsite role in San Antonio, TX, should send an updated resume to the contact email provided.
