Job description

We are hiring a Senior Java Backend Programmer for a client in Phoenix, AZ. This is an onsite, local-only position. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in building large-scale applications using Java backend programming. Key responsibilities include developing applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST, Microservices, and Kafka. The role requires experience with cloud platforms (public or private), strong software development lifecycle knowledge, and the ability to write unit tests and extend code coverage. The candidate will troubleshoot issues in test and production environments, possess excellent communication skills, and work collaboratively as a team player. Technical skills include Java, SpringBoot, Kafka, Junits, Mockito, Integration testing, SonarQube, log4j, Gradle, Maven, Git, Unix and shell scripting, RDBMS, SQL, NoSQL databases, REST, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm config, Dynatrace, and performance tuning for low-latency applications. The role involves owning all technical aspects of software development, participating in design and development, adopting innovative technologies, and prioritizing features with product owners. Work model is hybrid (3-4 days onsite per week).
