Job description

Role & Company / Project Overview: We are hiring an experienced Infrastructure Specialist – VM for a contract position in Canberra. The position is for an initial duration of 6 to 12 months with extensions possible, supporting ICT infrastructure and system design initiatives requiring an active NV2 security clearance. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Provide ICT infrastructure architecture, integration, and technical assurance. • Lead system design and VMware infrastructure operations. • Develop and maintain High-Level Designs (HLDs), build guides, scripts/playbooks, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). • Collaborate and interface effectively with key project stakeholders and external vendors. • Ensure proper backup and archive implementations utilizing Veeam. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 8+ years of experience in ICT Infrastructure / System Design. • Current NV2 Security Clearance (Mandatory). • Strong VMware hands-on experience across NSX, Aria, VCF, ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN. • Proven experience with Veeam Backup & Archive. • Strong background in infrastructure architecture, integration, and technical assurance. • Proven track record working with stakeholders and vendors. • Experience creating HLDs, build guides, scripts/playbooks, and SOPs. • OpenShift experience is desirable. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia. • Duration: 6–12 Months contract + extendable.
