Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview: Telda is hiring an on-site Infrastructure Engineer based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure, manage containerized production workloads, and drive automation across modern deployment platforms. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: - Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP. - Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters running production workloads. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to speed up and de-risk the release process. - Write Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to keep environments consistent and reproducible. - Monitor system health, set up alerting, and lead incident response to maintain high uptime. - Automate repetitive operational work through scripting and tooling. - Collaborate closely with engineering teams to improve deployment practices and developer experience. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: - 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering role. - Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS or GCP). - Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration. - Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. - Proven coding and scripting ability in Python, Go, or similar languages (capable of writing real code beyond basic configuration). - Solid understanding of CI/CD tooling and best practices. - Strong troubleshooting skills and a calm head during critical incidents. - Nice to Have: Experience in fintech or another high-compliance, high-availability environment. - Nice to Have: Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar. - Nice to Have: Security-first mindset around infrastructure and secrets management. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: - Location: Cairo, Egypt (On-site). • Application Instructions: - Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV for review.
