• Role & Company / Project Overview Strong Point is seeking an experienced DevOps Platform Engineer – GCP for a long-term contract (C2C) onsite position located in Austin, TX. The role is focused on architecting, implementing, and supporting robust cloud platform infrastructure and automation. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Design, configure, and maintain scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Kubernetes - Author, manage, and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Design, construct, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines across enterprise systems - Automate workflows using scripting and programming languages - Manage source control repositories and branching workflows - Architect, manage, and troubleshoot cloud networking components including VPCs, subnets, load balancers, DNS, firewalls, and VPNs - Implement and maintain GCP IAM, service accounts, secrets management, and robust cloud security controls - Set up, maintain, and monitor observability and telemetry pipelines across cloud platforms - Support large-scale enterprise cloud environments applying Agile/Scrum development methodologies • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 10+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles - Strong hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Extensive experience with GCP infrastructure, services, networking, IAM, and security - Hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Kubernetes - Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Extensive experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Cloud Build - Strong experience with Docker and containerization - Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell - Proven experience with Git and source control management - Strong understanding of cloud networking including VPC, subnets, load balancers, DNS, firewalls, and VPNs - Hands-on experience with GCP IAM, service accounts, secrets management, and cloud security - Experience with cloud monitoring and observability tools such as Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, and Grafana - Strong understanding of DevOps, SRE, automation, and cloud-native architecture principles - Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills: * GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification * Experience with Google Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, Cloud Deploy, and Cloud Operations Suite * Experience with Helm and Argo CD * Experience implementing GitOps practices * Knowledge of Istio or service mesh technologies * Experience with Kafka or Pub/Sub * Experience with Ansible * Experience with Vault or other secrets-management platforms * Knowledge of security scanning and DevSecOps practices * Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud environments * Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Austin, Texas, United States (Onsite) - Duration: Long Term • Compensation & Benefits - Contractual engagement (C2C) • Application Instructions - If interested, please share your resume via the provided recruiter contact email.
